About Us
Maxie Richards established the Foundation in 1994, having spent numerous years working with addicted people. She recognised that, for many, short-term help was not enough: as a result, The King’s Court was started.
Maxie‘s work has been recognised over the years with numerous awards and accolades such as Scotswoman of the Year and the prestigious Churchill Fellowship.
Maxie is actively involved in lobbying the Government on current drugs policy and is in high demand by the media. She speaks at various national conferences on addiction, with particular emphasis on the Scottish drug problem.
